How desi is calculated
Desi = (Width × Length × Height) ÷ 3000, with dimensions in centimetres. If the real weight in kg is greater than this result, the carrier charges the real weight. A 30×20×15 cm box is 3 desi.
Frequently asked questions
Desi = (Width × Length × Height) / 3000 with dimensions in cm. For example a 30×20×15 cm box is 3 desi.
The carrier charges whichever is greater. Bulky-but-light items are charged by desi; dense-but-small items by real weight.
3000 is the standard domestic volumetric factor in Turkey. Some international shipments use 5000.
Optimise packaging: use a box that fits the product, remove empty space and vacuum-compress soft items. This directly reduces desi and the cargo fee.
Bracket prices are a baseline for illustration; each carrier and marketplace publishes its own desi tariff. Ecomiro's shipping module compares declared desi with the invoiced desi on every order and files an objection for overcharges.
